I'm back on my heels pretty hard right now. Probably going buy me a bottle tonight and listen to some of his creations. Too soon and too big to say much more.

I'm stumbling around, but not yet drunk on Burgundy wine...later.

Box of Rain is spinning on a loop in my office.

Bye Bob! You and Jerry changed my whole life - thanks! I'll never forget it.

Surely not what I expected in my news feed today. I've often struggled with observing so many others as they deified Garcia without due regard for the voice behind the voice. So, now there's none, and I guess my concerns were just as transient as our time here. Godspeed.

My take as well, Earl as I know you know...love Phil, but w/out Jerry & this Bob, there just wasn't the DEAD.

Surely we are getting old.

The voice behind the voice, I like that.
He was pretty good sometimes with doing his own thing, too. I've gone over to Amagamalin St. for a bit of a think.

Jim Lauderdale paid Hunter a lovely tribute at a 2013 award. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDw5LFiwoK4
Transported, transfixed, transcended indeed.

The only time I saw him was at a solo concert in London in November 1979. I can't now remember all the songs he played but I do know it was one of the greatest gigs I ever attended.
